I'm always trying new stuff whether its a new store, restaurant, service, book, vacation spot, website etc and I like to write/rave on it. I'm also random and go on random rants about things that i think are funny, annoying, or that excite me. Welcome to my collection of random thoughts :)

well DONESKI!!!! thanks to some hard work, being frugal and a bonus i can say I am free!!!!

well now that the credit card is gone i can put that payment into my savings and let it grow and grow and grow and be able to continue traveling and save for bigger things down the road

6) Visit friends i don't see often.
this hasnt happened yet, but its still early!

7) Complete the warrior dash

hey man what the heck? road rage galore!

So i was on my way into the office this morning (earlier than usual i might add) and I'm cruisin down west gray and I'm hitting every light. I probably never even put my foot on the gas, just took if off the break at each light and coasted to the next. well i am in the middle lane and about 2 cars in front of me is a Ford Expedition and its about to approach the intersection when a taxi van pulls out in front of it. Mind you, it was stupid of the taxi, but we werent moving that fast, the Ford had plenty of time to react and not hit the car. so the ford gets all pissed and starts honking and at the next light goes up and cuts off the taxi hardcore.

well the taxi kinda falls back and tries to go around the expedition and the expedition isnt having it and cuts across 4 lanes of traffic. so then the taxi just gets over behind it and one lane over and stupidly decides to pull up next to the expedition. i have to admit i was nervous and kept my car back just in case, but i turned my radio down cus i wanted to hear what was about to go down. Well i didnt hear anything but all of a sudden a freakin capris sun comes flying out of the ford and hits the taxi in the face and then goes everywhere so the taxi driver throws something back as the expedition takes off and pulls out in front of the car next to it and cuts back across 4 lanes of traffic to the far right lane. ( i wish i cold draw a diagram). so the taxi speeds up and follows it and they yell at each other some more and the expedition speeds up and takes off and turns one way and the taxi gives up and turns a different way at the next light.

GOOD GRIEF!!!! Is it really necessary. and a Capris Sun?!?!?!?! Seriously. i couldnt see in the car but damn if that person in the ford threw his kids juicebox at the taxi driver he/she deserves poopiest parent of the day award. I freakin loved capri suns back in the day. i would have cried. not to mention angry mommy/daddy probably scared the poor thing to death.

why do people get so mad. dont get me wrong i've called many a people an asshole and probably flipped the bird a time or two but thats cus we were flying down the freeway and they could have killed me. the taxi didnt do anything but slow the expedition down a whole 5mph. then to chase them? you're totally asking for it... thats the dumbest thing to do. Do you know how many crazy people are out there?!?!?! TOO MANY. Just say asshole to yourself and be on your merry way and dont take your kids juice box... geez!

My goals for 2010

So i know its February and most people have their "resolutions" January 1st. I however don't like resolutions... i prefer to have goals to strive towards and have taken some time to think about what my goals are.... So here they are.... i will probably add some more later

1) Travel to at least one new domestic city and one new international city.
Last year I traveled quite a bit and would like to continue that trend now that I am at a point where I can financially afford to. The new places i went last year were: Las Vegas, All over New Hampshire, All over coast of Maine, Atlanta, and all over Costa Rica.
This year I am hoping to get to: New Orleans, Acapulco and either Hawaii or Virgin Islands. Hopefully maybe a trip to Vegas or up to the North West

2)Be more organized
I've always been organized, but I find that when i come home the last thing i want to do is organize files, papers, etc... and then i find myself weeks or whatever later needing to put things away and file them, or just throw it away. It doesn't help that my apartment is super small with not much storage room. I'd like to reanalyze my current system.

3)Achieve my fitness goal of 15-20% Body fat
I've been working on this for awhile. Boy have I come a very long way. I've changed my life, my mentality and my body and it feels great. Its not at the point where i gotta push even harder and its so easy to get burned out. I gotta keep mixing it up and staying focused!

4) Have no credit card debt
While my little bit of debt is nothing compared to other people's, its still debt and i hate it. Yes i have a plan and it will happen. Changing my lifestyle and my body is not cheap. having a personal trainer, eating healthy and trying new things for myself was well worth it though. Once i am debt free i will be in an even better place to be able to do all those things i love to do for myself!

5)Continue to grow my savings
I have always had weekly with drawls from my checking to my savings and i Hope that once my debt is done, that weekly 3% (12% of my monthly) of my income that is transferred into my savings can be increased to an even higher percentage so that I can keep traveling and have money for other large expenses that the future may hold.

6) Visit friends i don't see often.
I have a lot of friends and family that live in various cities around Texas that I really should take the time to go visit more frequently!!!! I also have friends in other states that i should find the time and the money to go see them and catch up!

7) Complete the warrior dash
It happens the weekend before my 25th birthday. its gonna be nuts and one crazy time!

8) try something/place totally new each month
last year i tried to venture out of my comfort zone and try new places and things to do. last year i tried rock climbing and fell in love with it and did it quite a bit. Some other things i tried included: rock climbing, adult gymnastics, spinning, Bikram yoga, airbrush tanning, waxing, zip lining, white water rafting, canyoning, surfing, and probably a few other things.... I also tried a lot of new foods and restaurants and plan on continuing to do that.
The cool thing about all those new things, is that it either created a new hobby/habit with my current friends or it introduced me to new friends!
This year i signed up to take a pole dancing class. No i do not want to be a stripper, but i thought it would be fun and challenging. Apparently its a great workout. I wouldn't mind getting back into a dance class as well. maybe skydiving or bungee jumping will be on this years list.... hmm....

9) Use coupons more often
I have tried and tried to be good at this, and if you have read my other blogs, i am always looking for new ways to save money, or get two for one etc... its really hard to find coupons when you only eat fresh produce/ fresh meat/ and nuts.... but i want to try....
The more money i don't spend at the store, the more i can put into savings or towards debt

10) Increase my mental recipes
I have lots of cookbooks and i try and cook new recipes, but when i am in my kitchen and i need to make something quick, or i am at the store and i need to remember what i need... i always buy and cook the same things and that monotony is what makes me want to go eat out, or cheat on my healthy eating.... i need to broaden that mental recipe book of mine so that I can stay focused on the prize!

11) Not hold onto stuff i don't use
I recently cleaned out my closet of clothes that are either too big, or i don't wear as well as accessories and old formals etc.... I need to go through my old text books and only keep the ones that i know i will reference.... So far i have sold and made some cash off some of my findings in my closet.... some of my friends have benefited from it too!

12) Learn how to use a sewing machine
I used to know how to use one, but if i still did... when i cant find an outfit i want at the mall, i could make it. Or when i lose weight and my dresses and pants don't fit i can fix it myself... I'd really just like to be able to get creative with it when i feel like it!

13)Become more involved with philantrophy
I wanted to become involved with the children's hospital last year but it required interviews and a set schedule on volunteering. I want to find some sort of organization that helps kids or pets, or both and do something useful. I know i have a bit heart and some insightful wisdom to kids i just need to put it to good use.

14) get my interior design license
Planning on taking the exam in October.... bit scary... and expensive....

15) begin to study for my personal training certification
I feel my interiors NCIDQ exam is a first priority as well as i want to achieve my fitness goals first before i begin to help others achieve theirs

Tired of Kissing Frogs

My friend Lisa and i rented this movie from the redbox the other night. we didnt know it was a spanish film until we got home and turned it on. We put the subtitles on and watched it. Its so cute.
Martha the main character has what all but her best friend think is a perfect guy, however, based on his past, Martha suspects he is cheating again. When she discovers his actions, she decides to swear off love and become a manizer! her crazy friend dani introduces her to this website and she starts dating guys she meets online. OMG some of them are so so so funny. Dani always tells her about "her friend" which is really herself and the interesting dates she has been on. Martha of course realizes love is important along the way but i wont tell you why or how she realizes it. I loved it!

Annoyance list number 2

i'm irked by the pain in my knee right now and it made me think of earlier today when i was irked at something else so i figured why the hell not list them out.... always feel better after that... haha

1) when you sit at your desk for so long, that no matter how you sit or cross your legs, your knees cant seem to get comfortable. Doesnt help that i am ridiculously short so my feet some hit the ground or the bottom of the chair in a way thats ergonomically right.

2) my biggest pet peeve every day!!! when big freakin pickup trucks park in the parking garage where you have to turn. I especially hate when two of them park back to back and you have to drive between the two of them and try and turn. i think they should all be made to park on the roof of my parking garage. i swear sometimes i dont think my SUV can fit between some let alone turn between some. rawr!

3) the nosy person who has to join every conversation you are having. argh A+B Conversation so C yourself out of it

4) catty girls.... sorry guys i watched the bachelor last night and i'm like NO WONDER Y'ALL ARE ALL SINGLE!

5) People who are all talk and dont follow through

6) COLD WEATHER! Enough already!!!!

7) the "i wear every trend at the same time" chic . you've seen them in stores.... they have the hat, the long scarf, the tank tucked into the skirt, the stockings, the high boots, the long necklaces in addition to her scarf, tons of bangles.... just an example but they think they have to wear everything thats deemed as "cool" at one time. LESS IS MORE SWEETIE

8) chics who dont know what tennis shoes or flats are.... trust me your feet will thank you for not wearing heels all the time. trust me it jacks up your feet, even your legs.... yeah trust me i love my stilettos but you dont have to be carry from sex in the city.... trust me.... her feet are JACKED UP

9) random ppl who add you on social networking sites just because in their eyes they think your "hot". i'm sorry this is facebook not match.com

10) when executive woman use a big mountain backpack instead of a laptop bag or portfolio.... hmmm yet still walks in with a designer bag. lady on the elevator this morning did that... i was like wait?? what???

ok thats it for now.....

My relationship with defensive driving/pull over stories

So my relationship with defensive driving is like an on and off again relationship.... in fact it probably has modeled a few of my relationships in the past. hahahah Since i was 17 years old, defensive driving and I have been off and on, finding our way back to each other every 18 months or so.....

It all started when i was 17.... i was on my way to school to take my economics final just a few days before christmas and BAM i totaled my civic into the back of a classmates car. Let me tell you.... that experience just royally SUCKED! needless to say i had my first encounter with defensive driving.....

ironically, a drunk driver hit me about 6 weeks later right as i got my new car. fortunately i wasnt issued a ticket but even if i had.... it would have been to recent for defensive driving.

well not even a year later ( the following october) a friend of mine asked me late one night if i could go to austin with him to help him move some of his things back to houston. Since he drove a motorcycle he needed a car to bring back a few boxes. it was a pretty funny and random situation in fact. the phone call came in "hey wanna go to austin?" me: "sure. when?" "now!"

"ok when are we coming back?" " i dunno a few days" " well i gotta a test at 1 tomorrow can we come back in time for that" "yeah sure"

so we left for austin late that night, packed up some stuff and headed back the next morning in order for me to make it back to class..... well on highway 71 at the time NOTHING was out there. i was speeding and sure enough i went over a hill and there was the cop. before the lights even came on i was like "@#$%!!!!!!!"

My friend was like " emily dont worry about it you are a girl, you've gotten out of tickets before ( true story) just bat your eye lashes and you're good!"

well maybe if the cop wasnt Mrs. Dyke Cop 2003! omg she was scary....

She made me get out of the car and read me the riot act. She said " are you prepared to have someone drive your car home if i take you to jail?"

omg i could just see/hear and almost feel the anger in my father's voice if i had had to call him and say " umm daddy... funny story... i got arrested" omg i would not be living today.....

i did what i always do and i was polite lots and lots of yes maams. well apparently in Columbus that day there was NOTHING going on, so she called for backup. When backup arrived they ran my id and my friends and i could hear our info being called on their intercom to see what info they could pull on us. Unfortunately for them we were both 2 good kids who were just trying to do more than time allowed that day and they had NOTHING on us. She let me go, gave me FAT ticket and i got back in the car and laughed. i was in shock i guess. oh i guess i forgot a funny part. she was talking and blabbing and she had a love bug on the neck of her shirt and it was really aggrevating so i asked her if she could hold on a second and i grabbed the lovebug off her shirt smashed it and told her "ok keep going" she looked at me like " omg you have got to be kidding"

I made it back to houston, took my test and made an A. ya boi!

unfortunately since i had taken defensive driving within the year i opted for deferred judification. If you ever get a ticket in Columbus their DJ is only 60 days while most places its like 6 months. So one night at the end of my dj, i was working at a night club with one of my best friends. I sometimes stopped at taco cabana on westheimer on my way home because well it was the only thing open at that time of morning. Jamie had never been so i told her she should come. meanwhile i was bragging that it was the last day of my "probation". well i need to learn to not say things like that because as we were leaving TC a group of cops pulled in and one decided to pull in right behind me. his lights and his bumper were right at a height where i could not see them so i back up and SMASH i hit the car. omg i thought my life was over as i knew it. i got out of the car and the cop was cussing at me " you hit my effin car!!!!!!"

i was like " omg i am so sorry i couldnt see you, as long as your car is ok officer i am fine with whatever happened to mine"

Fortunately nothing happened to either. i hit the plastic grill on his license plate and it didnt even do anything to my car. i dont think i was even going 5mph. Jamie thought it was a riot she was laughing. However, they took our info and ran it and made us stay there forever. it didnt help that were in shorts, flipflops and they could probably see our bathinsuit tops poking out of our shirts. one cop was like " why are y'all out so late" we were like " we just got off work and we were hungry"

they held us for awhile to make us nervous i think and then just gave us back our license and told us to go home. Jamie would call laughing everytime she passed a TC for a good while after that. It was pretty funny.

So flash forward to may of 2006. I'm one week away from turning 21 and my friends and i got dressed up and went to have dinner. I'm in a cute cocktail dress and i am happy as can be. I'm driving North on I-10 headed towards 1604. I absolutely hate that interchange. I wonder how many people die there because it makes no sense and no one yields or anything..... I always got off and just took the access road to be safer. Well i'm cruising on the access road and all of a sudden flashing lights..... CRAP!
I was hoping that being dressed up and being sweet would help me out. I'm convinced the cop was gay... hahaha wrote me a ticket. Happy birthday to me. I thought if i went into court and looked nice maybe it would get dismissed.... well i put a suit on went in there for my time and i didnt even seen a judge. they just make you go through a line and stamp a paper. i was like geez i could have rolled in here in my pjs.....I spent a whole day that summer laying on my boyfriend at the time's bed using his laptop to do defensive driving one day. ugh it sucked. him and his friends were in the other room and i was stuck doing that. doesnt help that you have to spend so much time on each section. I kept finishing each one wiht like 20 minutes left so I could go hang out with them for a second and then had to go jump right back in the "captain obvious 101"
So April 2008 I am helping with a party for my Red Bull job. A classmate of mine was throwing a huge 70's Skate party. I was on my way dressed all 70's with a blonde afro wig and loud makeup..... I was driving down Huebner headed through leon Valley ( i think) towards this skating rink. Huebner was always 40 over by my apt and close to 1-10. well i missed the slow down to 30 and apparently the cops there are ruthless. He pulls me over and again i am like CRAP!
So, i pull over and he asks me why i was speeding and i told him i wasnt familiar with the area and where i was used to the speed limit was 10 miles faster. He asks me where i work and i told him i wored for Reggianos and he asked where i was going and i told him a party and i thanked him for not laughing at my wig/costume and he said' " well is that your work outfit?" ummmm did he think reggiano's was a strip club? a themed 70's strip club? weirdo If your my friend on facebook one of my profile pictures is me in the blonde fro.. check it out...
So after i graduated and moved home.... i sat in my room and did defensve driving....AGAIN....
Well in december a week before i left for Costa Rica, i was headed to the gym to work out one morning... I could have sworn the speed limit on West gray was 40. I always slowed down in the school zone, but mr copper caught me. The ironic this was the day before my coworker and i were telling pull over stories and she told me of her friend that was pulled over and before the cop could get to her she dumped a glass of water in her lap to make it look as if she was speeding cus she had to pee. I had water right next to me and it didnt cross my mind until after he was gone. ARGH! My car registration had never come in the mail after i registered online so he was like "maam your car needs to be registered." so i said " well it is they just havent mailed it to me" Fortunately with technology he could look it up on his computer and he saw i was telling the truth. i went on my merry way to the gym like GREAT! So like a revolving door or traveling boyfriend, defensive driving is once again.... back in my life. yippee!

I've had some other instances but i was given a warning.... lets hope this is the last time for awhile.... although it does leave for some interesting stories....

Updated save money honey

well i got my first bill from bounce energy.......

the cycle was 32 days and let me tell you... with it being so cold the month of december and the majority of february... my heater was on ALL THE TIME

i was really expecting my bill to be close to 200 since they replaced my breaker and my heater hardly ever clicked off...

well my bill was $114. with my taxes, the replaced my meter for $13 and the other fees and then minus $5 for paying online ( a little reward they give you) that wsa my bill.

i calculated what it would have been with my old rate and it would have been closer to 200.

What i say to that is HELL YA! I'LL TAKE IT!

Another update, if you are a onepass member with continental, subscribe to their emails. they will give miles for subscribing but they let you know of awesome deals. right now they have tickets to the rockets for like half off!!!!

crazy old hag

So i thought everyone would find this story pretty funny...
new years eve about 5 or 6 o clock, Michelle and i went back to my apt from setting up the party to get my clothes and check on my dog and head back to Lisa's to get dressed for the party. We walk in the front door of my building ( which i live in an old fashioned 8 plex that is basically 2 4 plexes connected) and see that their is a walker in front of my neighbor below me's apt which seemed strange because if you use a walker wouldnt you take it in with you.

so i go upstairs, throw my clothes in a bag and grab my puppy to take him out and as i walk out of my apartment i see out the front window of the building that there are 2 police cars in front of my house! i was like ummmmm ok. so i walk downstairs and the police are helping carry out this old lady with her walker and a grocery bag of clothes...

i just stand there a minute and wait for them to get the mumbling slow lady out of the house and in walks my downstairs neighbor. I was like " umm whats going on" and he responds, "i get out of my shower to find this old hag sitting on my phone and when i looked at her she clear as day said 'do you have a phone?'"
he told her he didnt and that he was visiting and made her leave. she wouldnt get out so he pretty much had to push her into the hall way. awhile later he heard this banging on the walls and thought maybe i was doing something upstairs so he came out in the hallway to see what was going on. instead he found the old hag sitting on the ground banging her walker up against the walls so he called the police.

the police didnt even take her anywhere. she kept saying she needed to go to ben taub in austin but ben taub is down the road....

we left for the party with her walking up and down the sts of downtown yelling and cursing to herself.

oh the joys of urban living. ahaha

the things us ladies do: part dos

Ok last week i was writing about little things here and there that us ladies do and my reccomendations. It just so happened that later that afternoon we had a pedicure party at a place called Bora Bora nail spa in the bunker hill shopping center off i-10.
i thought Isle Pedi spa was the shiznit when i went before but this place takes the cake!!!! At isle pedi spa i believe my crazy coco nut and milk massage thingy was about $78. Dont get my wrong it was wonderful but Bora Bora was better for this reason...
You get there and they had us all in chairs ( not the big booth like Isle) and the chairs were massage chairs with remotes. i was in heaven. i could pay just to go sit in that chair. i played with all the buttons, they had a heated wrap around my neck. She must have massaged my feet and my legs 5 times. at one point she got hot stones and massaged them up and down, then made me lean forward and oiled my neck and shoulders and rubbed them down. My legs and feet never looked better. Not to mention wine and cookies UM HELLO!
I looked at the menu and it was only $32 and you could add a few things like a parafin wax for your legs and the total was $45. we got a lot more at Bora Bora for less than half at Isle. I will definitely go back!!!!

coupons
I get express and victoria secret coupons all the time.... i guess cus the know i will spend my money there :/, but my aunt sent me a ton last week and i had some that were $30 off your purchase of $75 or more or $15 off your purchase. I went in there and found something for $20 went up there to use my coupon, apparently the item was on sale, so he just hands it back to to me and tells me to have a good day! So i got it for FREE!!! went back and did the same thing the next day! gotta make use of free crap!

annoyance list

Do you ever have days where its like anything and everything annoys you.... i had one recently which inspired this list of things that just drive me NUTS!!!

1)people who would rather talk about something than do it. example: the person who is always saying they hate their job, or that they are fat, or that their relationship sucks.... QUIT TALKING ABOUT AND FREAKING DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!

2)one uppers- you know... the guy in the office who always did something that was better than what you were talking about... somehow your talk about the pizza you had last night turns into his amazing trip to Italy...

3)deliberately bad english.... i joke with several friends and family members by talking ghetto, but when people deliberately say things off and claim thats they way they talk i call BULL DOOKIE! Example: when Usher started being referred to as ursher.... ummmm ok?

4)when girls who are obviously larger than life think they can dress like a size zero and have all their stuff exposed to the world.... ok none of us want to see that and the person who lied to you that you look good needs to be slapped...TWICE

5)people who are in love with being in love. omg that drives me nuts. one month they are so in love with this person and their facebook and everything they talk about is "omg i love blah blah" " i miss blah blah" and a month later its some other person.... really? is this 6th grade? thats not love my friend....

6)guys in girl jeans.... maybe if thats your idea of birth control but really i mean isnt that uncomfortable???

7) excessive body hair.... yes guys you can do something about. nair it, wax it, shave it, lazer remove it.... SOMETHING thats absolutely sick! there isnt one girl out there who finds gorilla arms and back and chest remotely hot...

8)when people are so obviously blocking your view of something and are so inconsiderate to do NOTHING about it.... MOVE!

9)the butt short skirt ot shorts with ugg boots? if your feet and calves are so cold you need to wear uggs put some flippin pants on!

10)when girls curl their hair and get all dolled up at the gym.... then their whole workout their hair nor their face shows any indication of work.... you're not working hard enough sweetie!

11)really janky cars with rims, spinners, whatever.... if you are gonna go drop 2k on your 1988 caddie, why not put it as a downpayment on a semi new car thats worth more than the rims on it....

12) super clingy relationships.... let your woman/dude breathe they were an individual before you were a couple, and they still are... let them be that way

13)chewing tobacco....one word GROSS

14)stoners--- do something with your life, are you that ignorant that all you do is smoke all day and you only make money so you can smoke more the next day. maybe if you got your mouth off the pipe for a minute you might find a new hobby or new appreciation for life oh and you may find you dont smell like crap all the time!

15) when guys expect girls to chase after them... sorry babe... not gonna happen... heard of chivalry. i dont want to tell my children one day that i chased you until you gave in... not me sorry

16)people who are so in debt cus they cant get control of their spending or need for the biggest/greatest/name brand thing. if you're in hard core debt then dont go buy that tv, boat, vacation whatever. get yout crap taken care of.... you're not helping the economy and the deficit

17)american idol....go away already

18) sluttiness...does sleeping with someone new every weekend really make you feel better about yourself? i mean it may be fun in the moment, but is it really worth it...makes me want to puke in my mouth... blah

19) soapboxes.... meaning people get up on their high horse and dont let you say what you want to say or are so opinionated they dont even respect what you have to say or what you think or your rationale

20) really really large butted people who wear underwear several sizes too small so that the back of their pants gives the appearance of 4 butt cheeks instead of 2 ( i had a facebook status about this the other day it bothers me so much)

21) lazy people ( especially women) you dont work all day cus your husband makes a bunch of money, you dont have kids, you have someone to clean your house, so what do you do all day? NOTHING but spend money and sleep. shoot clean the house, workout... something. i mean i could totally pull off the hot housewife gig, but i'll be damned if i dont clean my house myself, have dinner on the table, take care of myself, and find some sort of productive hobby or part time gig to keep me occupied and feel i contributed to society.... ugh

22) club rats--- you know.... the guy or girl who every monday have pictures of them at a different club both nights of the weekend. unless you work there, or you're like 18 or 19 get a new hobby seriously....

23) people who have never left their hometown or state---- hello? you know there is a whole big world out there of some kick ass stuff. go see it, experience it, breathe new air, see god's creation and people.... learn something outside of your comfort zone!

24) people with no backbone--- dont enable people to treat you like dirt

25) cheaters--- karma will come get you and its gonna suck. why hurt someone you care about cus you have commitment issues. if you're unhappy get out of it, and if you're just selfish dont subject others to your issues... jerk!

i could go on but i'll save it for another day! :)

The things us ladies do: reviews

Us females do a lot to take care of ourselves or for our men.
I personally take care of myself cus it makes me happy and makes me feel good, but whatever your reason here are my reviews on a few things, i've broken them down by category....

Hands and Feet:
If you like to get your feet done and you want the best pampering ever i reccomend Isle Pedispa off Kirby. Omg its amazing. Its not like most spas that have a place for your hands and feet, this place is just for your feet. Its not cheap so go there for a real treat or a great gift. You sit in a little booth just for you with your own tv, a heated neck wrap, wine and then select from their menu what you want. I of course went for the whole shebang ( i wasnt paying :) ) I got rubbed, salt rubbed into my legs, milk poured down and massaged into my legs, my legs and feet scrubbed, massaged, soaked in wax and hot tub and so much more. Omg i was in heaven

we had a pediparty and they let us bring food and everything in there and accomodated quite a bit of us. The service was great and if i could afford it i would go ALL THE TIME!!!!

I'm going to another pediparty today at another spa, i'll review it later....

In between trips i always give myself weekly pedicures as i find it SUPER relaxing. the best feet prodcuts i have found that the Tru Blue products at bath and body works are awesome. They leave my feet so soft, my cuticles all nice and if you get the hand line, the clear nailpolish/strengthener makes my nails look so shiny and gorgeous. makes me feel good and saves me money from the nail place.

waxing
ok so i have had two wax experiences in my life and well the first was pretty traumatic. before our all girls boat trip i went in for a brazilian and well it was awkward and it hurt and i swore i would never go back!!!! any girl who has had one done can probably tell you a really funny story about their first time. my mom cracked up when i told her.

well then i decided to go to costa rica so i changed my mind, however, i had a lady who was less awkward and i think better and it didnt hurt AS BAD. it probably helped that the second time i took advil before and had a class of champagne so it was tolerable. as always i laughed through the whole thing to make it more enjoyable and less awkward....

i went to European Wax Center in Riveroaks. they have several locations and if its your first time some treatments are free ( eyebrows, underarms or bikini) my first time since i upgraded to brazilian i just paid the difference. I think it was like 13. If you are an avid waxer they even have memberships that make your treatments really affordable.
The place is really nice and i will definitely go back. its perfect if you are gonna be on vacation in a bathining suit and you dont want to have to worry about that sort of thing.

Tanning
i am all about wanting my skin to look amazing when i'm old. no wrinkles here and if you ever met my grandmother or saw pictures of her, knew her etc you would have noticed her radiant nearly wrinkle free skin at 80 years old. She was a walking ad for cold cream and took care of her skin every single day. she bestowed that to my mother and my mom has carried it on to me. In additiont to my skin and face regime i have to make sure i take care of my pale skin from the sun. I dont tan and if i do its like everyone elses pale and certain parts of my body just freckle. I dont want to be that old lady covered in freckles.... so if i need to be tan for something i do spray tan. I already wrote a blog about my first experience but i have since had another one and well the girls at throwing copper are AWESOME. my tan lasts, its even, no streaks, i dont feel retarded being butt naked and sprayed, they have great followups with their customers... I LOVE IT. read my blog about it and check out some of my vacation and halloween pictures to see how it turned out....
why damage my skin when i can be brown without it!

good and bad stuff... wink wink
I recently was at a girls night event at the Rice hotel and passed a booth for Booty parlor. Its kind of like those "pleasure party" things. they asked me if i wanted to have one and i was like " why the heck not!!!"
My girlfriend let me host it at her house and well we had a blast. I think some people are hesitant about those kind of parties cus they dont know what to expect. it was my first and i didnt know what to expect but its one of those situations where you can make it as innocent or as bad as you want it to be. We had an absolute blast!!! I made sangria and food ( both were a hit, esp the sangria.... its been requested again...) and we made new friends and just laughed and laughed.
Everyone bought something and like i said it was as innocent or as naughty as you made it. if you just wanted some bubble bath and lipgloss than you did, some of the girls opted for the kinkier things but no one judged anyone and like i said we just laughed and laughed and LAUGHED and had a blast. in fact we are having another one. If you want to have a party i can pass along the name of the girl who hosted ours.... fun times

i bought their body butter and omg it smells amazing and leaves your skin soft for days!!!

I got more but i will have to get back to ya.....

Seriously Mr.?!?!?!?!?!

So today on the Rod Ryan show on my way to work, they were talking about this man from Michigan who is in the news for his crazy amount of donations to the sperm bank. I about changed the channel cus i thought "seriously who cares", i figured it was some dude who had issues ( which clearly he does) but probably some college guy looking for cash or something.....
Well apparently 14 years ago this man and his wife felt that they were so blessed with their children that they felt bad for the women and couples out there who had problems conceiving, so they decided they should donate this man's goods for other couples to enjoy and have babies with.
He donated twice a week for 14 years and made just short of 15,000 donations.
I'm sorry but are you trying to be like David or Solomon in the Bible with all those kids, that was a different time and story, thats just sick and unnecessary.....
The man didnt do it for money as each donation was 20 bucks and in that time made about 29,000 over the 14 years. he calculates he has fathered about 450 children.
ummmmm does anyone else find that a bit creepy and sick?
i know there are a lof of women out there stuck on having their own baby, but what about all those kids in orphanages????? I dunno it rubs me the wrong way when i think about how selfish people get and then they want to play God and play doctor. Maybe i will think differently if i get to the point in my life where i want a baby and i cant have one or something, but why create life in a test tube when their are plenty of lives that need families.
my baby cousin is adopted and my aunt and uncle tried for years to have a child. My cousin was a child to a family who had too many kids and just couldnt afford another one. She's been such a joy to not only my aunt and uncle but the whole family. She's my heart. I cant imagine if my aunt and uncle had tried to have someone elses child just cus my aunt "had to have the baby" instead of adopting Rachel.
I mean come on Mr... a few donations i could understand, but do you really think there is a need for you to donate 2x a week? I would think even 2x a year would be steep....
Sick!

SAVE MONEY HONEY!!!!!!

Like I've said before, i'm always down for a bargain or a way to save money so i thought i would share my latest finds. coupons, energy bills, airline miles and cashback

COUPONS
I use to be a big time coupon cutter and i go through phases where i do and do no clip coupons but its such a hassle sometimes cus i hold on to them and then i forget and they expire blah blah. i always seem to do a good job of remembering my Victoria Secret and Express Coupons though (go figure). I was looking online at Randalls website today and I came across something AWESOME. On there website they have three alternate sites where you can select coupons and they are saved directly to your remarkable card. I dont really like shopping at randalls and while on the coupon sites i found you can add your Kroger card which made me super happy cus thats where i shop.
Check them out:
You can print out your grocery list and see what you have coupons for. I think one will even text it to you. Bad A if you ask me!!! No having to carry around coupons. and IT SAVES PAPER!
ENERGY BILL
I live in an older apartment so the insulation SUCKS to say the least so in the hot summer and when it gets cold my energy bill is sky high.
Well i got an email from my houston tidbits ( god i love that site) and they talked about Bounce Energy and the promotion they were doing for a $50 Nordstrom gift card, and some other goodies for switching. I went to their website and their rate was almost 6 cent per kwh cheaper than what i was paying. I did some research, called the company and looked at their other promotions. They had promotions for everyone. I signed up for one that offers free companion flights for a year. I just checked their website and they did away with that one but have one where you can get one free companion ticket for a domestic flight and then several promotions where you can get gift cards. they have rewards programs where you earn free stuff and money off your bill for paying ontime and paying online. My energy bill was so cheap this month. i was SO HAPPY!!! CHECK IT OUT http://www.bounceenergy.com/customer/rewards-promotions.php
ONLINE SHOPPING AND AIRMILES
Anything that gets me two for one i am all about.... If you are a member of a frequent flyer program make use of all their give aways as possible. I subscribe to e-miles.com and a few others that i earn anywhere from 5 to 25 miles just for clicking on a few buttons that takes a whole 10 seconds. Sometimes if you buy whatever they are showing you, you get more...
If you have Continental they have partners that they work with where if you buy through their site you earn miles per dollar. I just bought a crap ton of stuff on snapfish.com for christmas gifts and right now they are offering 20 miles per dollar. I'll let you do the math.
They have a ton of retailers on there. My credit card is offering double cashback on all online purchases so i got cashback and i earned miles. My credit card company even offers more cashback if you go through their website and shop there. I figured i would go for miles this time, better deal! Just about any and everystore you can imagine is on continental and on discover. make use of it if you're gonna shop on those sites anyways.
CASHBACK FOR SHOPPING
I recently purchased a super cool bad ass camera thats waterproof, freeze proof, shock proof etc... I bought it for my vacation and best investment ( i am gonna blog on it later) but i found the best deal through http://www.bing.com I was telling my friend James about it and he let me in on a great thing. Bing lets you set up an account with them ( i ts free) and when you search to purchase something in the corner of your search for each store there is an icon that lets you know if its elligible for cash back. When i got home from vacay i checked it out and shoot i could have gotten anoter $20 on my camera that i had already saved close to $100 bucks on! i signed up for an account and you can have them mail you the money or you can have them add it to your paypal. GENIOUS!

hair did

So if i blogged what i am really thinking or wanting to blog right now i would probably regret it and/or get myself in trouble so zippin up my mouth! in any case thought i would write about a stupid dilemna of mine that makes no difference what so ever on my life, yours or anyone elses... lol

So i have been wanting to change my hairdo for quite some time.... i really wanted a short do and well anyone who knows me from highschool remembers when i chopped all my hair off above my ears. i think it had maybe a shelf life of 5 days where it looked cute and then the curliness of my hair just didnt work out.

I've asked a million opinions on if they thought a short a line bob would look weird with curly hair. i googles a bajillion photos. Couldnt find one that was right.... found a few curly ones and well they looked totally busted to put it nicely....

Fortunately with having curly hair i can totally hit up TGI Haircutters on Wednesday for 11 dollar haircuts... nothing to my hair... just trim it, add some layers, trim my bangs and shoot you dont even have to blow it dry or style it. This comes in super handy but change is good from time to time. Since i REFUSE to color my hair cutting it was only the next option.

well i just got it cut like 3 weeks ago and yesterday on msn i came across this article http://lifestyle.msn.com/your-look/makeup-skin-care-hair/staticslideshowallure.aspx?cp-documentid=22496730&gt1=32002

Basically the first slide says "corkscrews and short hair do not mix"

Well MSN where were you 3 months ago when i wanted to go CHOP CHOP. AYE.

Anyways, some of them are pretty funny.... THATS ALL FOLKS

Holiday Shopping... good find!!!

So Christmas is almost here and EEEEKKKK that means we gotta start shopping... Ah geez

Usually i have mine done by now for the most part and sadly enough there is only one gift i have gotten so far and that was a gift i had made for my mother.... ( she already knows what it is too)

I have a catalog i do alot of my shopping from and inside of it i have a list of who gets what from each page... have i ordered from it... no

Well again on my 2 and a half hour flight i was reading Cosmo and when i wasnt learning about this confession and this sex tip ( which if you pay attention they are all the same they just rotate them... and for the most part if you have to read cosmo to know what you are doing well... i'm very sorry for you...) or about this makeup or clothing designer... i came across a really neat find.

Online there are several websites that help you compile lists for yourself as well as other people so it could be your wish list, your baby registry, wedding registry, list ideas for grandma's 80th bday... WHATEVER...

well this particular website even helps you compare prices and you can buy it right off the website through the link to where it is sold....

If you want to check it out go to http://www.wishpot.com/

They've got everything from DVDs, electronics, and super cute fashion/accessories....

I found myself going "ok this would be good for mom... ooohhh these five outfits would look great in my closet.... oh aunt shelagh would like this.... oh check out that handbag!" ( hahah story of my life)

I think its genious... i am an avid list maker, an avid person on organization and shoot from now on when mom or dad says " what do you want for christmas/bday/kwanza/st patties day (haha)?" i can say " check out my list suckas!"

Although i dont think my dad would like hot pink bra and panties i have on my wish list right now... oops

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy and happy shopping/wishing
